USES :tool handles, flooring - industrial, sleepers, joinery - heavy, vehicle bodies, mining timbers, structural work - heavy

�Hard, heavy, strong and durable. Mainly for exterior use.

A tough heavy timber with a red/purplish, sometimes dark streaked, heartwood and paler sapwood. Fine close texture with slightly oiled feel. Its high durability and strength is often coupled with good resistance to abrasion. Often used in the round as poles.
